On the morning of August 1, 2025, the gas distribution and trading units in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces announced that the gas price in August 2025 will decrease by 1,500 VND/kg, equivalent to 18,000 VND/12kg cylinder compared to July 2025.

This price will be applied from 7:30 a.m. on August 1, 2025, and the retail price to consumers in the southern region will fluctuate at 431,000 VND/12kg cylinder.

According to the key business and distribution units of gas products, the reason for the change in gas prices compared to July 2025 is because the average world gas price (CP) in August 2025 was just announced at 505.00 USD/ton, down 55.00 USD/ton.
